Hannah

Hi, my name is Hannah. I’m 39 years old, and I have two kids. I’ve been in Hong Kong working as a domestic helper for about five months. Unfortunately, my employer terminated my contract on November 4, 2025, because I didn’t quite meet their expectations. There are three people in the family, and my tasks included quite a bit of cleaning every day, like wiping down surfaces, vacuuming twice a day, and doing a thorough clean of the house a couple of times a week. I also took care of cleaning the bathrooms daily, organizing toys, and keeping the balcony and windows clean. I changed beddings, cleaned the fridge and freezer, and took care of all areas in the kitchen, including the oven and kitchen hood. Doing laundry was a regular job too. I made sure clothes were hung up neatly and organized by category. I also did the grocery shopping for meals, sending pictures to get approval on what to buy, and I had to be quick getting back home. Besides that, I would help my children catch the school bus every morning and prepare meals by slicing the meat and veggies as needed, making sure everything was done on time, including taking out the trash and checking the house for safety before bed.
