Hi, I'm Jacquiline, and I'm 42 years old. I've been a domestic helper in Hong Kong for five years now. My first job was from 2021 to 2025, where I took care of a little boy who was four when I started and eight when I left. My main duties included getting him ready for school each morning and picking him up in the afternoon. While he was at school, I'd tidy up, sweep and mop the floors, do the laundry, and deep clean the bathroom. I also prepared dinner. After school, I helped him with his homework, and in the evenings, I would do the ironing and change the bed linens each week. On weekends, I took him to his activities and spent quality time playing with him, either at the playground or at home.

Right now, I'm caring for a nine year old girl. I get her ready for school every weekday and do the usual household chores, like sweeping, mopping, and deep cleaning the bathroom. I also take care of my employer's plants and handle the laundry and ironing in the afternoons. I change the beddings weekly and wash the car on weekends. While I do the marketing, I only cook for myself since my employer prefers to order food every day. I've been with my current employer for one year and two months. For personal reasons, I'm planning to break my contract and can be released anytime as soon as I find a new employer. I have a lot of experience and can adapt to different tasks. I consider myself a hardworking person who's always eager to learn. I'm cheerful but a bit of an introvert, and I think I communicate well and listen to others.
