Hello! My name is Jenilyn, I’m 31 years old, and I’m a single mother to a 13-year-old boy. I’m from the Philippines and was born on February 16, 1994. I have one brother and one sister, but I only have my mom with me because my dad passed away a long time ago.

I worked in the United Arab Emirates as a domestic helper for four years. My main duties included housekeeping, cleaning, cooking, washing and ironing clothes, car washing, taking care of babies and kids, handling pets, and doing the marketing.

Right now, I’m working in Hong Kong as a domestic helper, and I’ve been here for two years. I will finish my contract on September 19, 2025. My tasks are similar to my previous job: cleaning, cooking, washing and ironing, taking care of children, and marketing. I consider myself kind, honest, loyal, trustworthy, patient, and hardworking. My past employers treated me well, like family, but I wasn’t satisfied with my salary. My current employer, unfortunately, isn’t very good. I’ve experienced a lot of challenges here. The salary is okay, but I can’t work hard because I don’t get enough rest. There are too many rules—I'm not allowed to rest or use my phone in or outside the house, and we can’t talk to our families. On my days off, I have to finish all my work before I can go out, and it's only half a day without pay. I work 24 hours without any privacy, and I’m expected to work even when I’m sick.
