Jurie Ann

I’m Jurie Ann, you can call me Jurie. I’m a nurse by profession but I didn’t work in the hospital because I’ve landed a job in Call Center and stayed in the company for almost 5 years. I‘ve decided leaving my work because I want to experience working abroad and that‘s when I got an offer working as domestic helper in Qatar. Although I don’t have an experience working as DH I take a course on Housekeeping NCII in TESDA. I work with 2 adults and 5 children. My main duties are cleaning the house together with the other 2 helpers, cleaning 2-3 rooms, laundry, ironing, cooking and sometimes I go with the driver to fetch the two dauthers in school and at work. I’ve worked there for more than a year. My other work experience is working in Japan. I’ve worked in the wood factory on the day and at night worked in izakaya. My main work in izakaya are cleaning, washing dishes, serving the customers and sometimes going to the market and cooking. The best part of working abroad is meeting different kinds of people, understanding there cultures, and learning to cook there dishes which I’ve enjoyed very much because I love cooking.  I’ve applied my skills of being hardworking, patience, adaptable and flexible specially it’s my first time working in Qatar and in Japan. I don’t have working experience with a newborn or toddler but I have my personal experience since I have a 14 months old daughter. Also, since I’m the eldest I’m the one helping my mother to watch over and take care of my sibling when she’s working. I can say I love being with the children specially that I’m a mother myself. Thank you for your time reading. I look forward to speaking to you about my future employment opportunity.
