I am a single mother working here in Hong Kong for 8 years. In my first 4 yrs, I looked after a cancer survivor lady. It was a tough and challenging task but I learned a lot. It helped me build my managing skills, my cooking skills, how to be organise, work under pressure, to be patient and be professional with my job. After that 4yrs, I decided to broaden my knowledge and see what best suits my skills and capabilities. Lovely American couple hired me, the lady who was expecting a baby during the time that they hired me. She is a first time mum. I looked after the baby since day 1. I was their first helper and they relied on me in handling the baby and managing the house. It was a wonderful fulfilling experience, because basically I was the one who taught her on how to take care of a new born. My lady boss does the cooking, My job was mainly looked after the baby. I also managed the house keeping, ironing, marketing, laundry and sometimes cooking. I worked for them for 4 years. I learned a lot too, how to be extra hygienic, flexibility, how to be playful and deal with kids. I was able to learn about kids behaviour, their milestone stages and to how cope up and deal with it.
