American Family Looking for a Kind & Reliable Helper

About Our Family: We are a friendly and respectful American-Chinese family living in Hong Kong. Our family includes two loving parents, our energetic 4-year-old child, our cheerful 2-year-old toddler, and one friendly family dog. We value kindness, open communication, and a positive atmosphere in our home. We are looking for a helper to become a valued part of our family team. Key Responsibilities: 1. Childcare (Primary Focus - 60%) · Provide attentive, loving, and safe care for our two young children. · Plan and engage the children in educational and fun activities, including reading books, singing songs, drawing, and creative play. · Prepare healthy meals and snacks for the children. · Supervise playtime, both indoors and outdoors. · Assist with the children's daily routines: bathing, dressing, and toileting/potty training. · Maintain a clean and organized environment for the children (e.g., tidying their rooms and play areas). 2. Household Duties (30%) · Perform general housekeeping to keep the home clean and tidy: dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and laundry/ironing for the whole family. · Grocery shopping and managing household supplies. · Cooking simple and healthy Western and Chinese meals for the family. (Ability to cook is a must; we are happy to teach our preferences). 3. Pet Care (10%) · Walk the dog daily and ensure it has fresh water and food. · Assist with basic grooming and hygiene. General Requirements: · Open to candidates who are currently in Hong Kong or overseas. · A minimum of 2 years of recent experience in childcare, especially with toddlers and young children. · Good English communication skills are essential. Knowledge of Mandarin or Cantonese is a plus but not required. · Must be patient, energetic, proactive, and genuinely love children and animals. · Non-smoker, with a clean bill of health. · Trustworthy, reliable, and committed to a long-term contract.
