About our family

We are a family of five in Hong Kong: three adults and two children, aged 12 and 8. We are looking for someone reliable and warm who can become a steady part of our home, and who would like to stay with us long term. What the role involves · General housework — cleaning, laundry, ironing, keeping the home tidy and organised · Cooking daily meals for the family · Caring for our two children: school drop-off and pick-up, help with homework, meals, and being a kind and watchful presence · Grocery shopping and marketing · Keeping the household running smoothly day to day

Who we are looking for

Experience looking after children · Able to cook — Chinese home cooking preferred, and we are happy to teach you our family's dishes · Honest, clean, organised and dependable · Fluent English, so you can communicate easily with the children · Someone who uses initiative and notices what needs doing · Above all, patient and kind — our children come first Accommodation and food You will have your own room in our home. All meals and food are provided.

Rest days and leave

We will agree your regular rest day with you when you join. Because of our work schedules, there may be occasional weeks where we need to move your rest day to another day within the same month — and you will always receive your full rest day.

Salary and bonus Salary and terms follow the Hong Kong Standard Employment Contract, paid in full and on time every month. On top of that, we give a monthly performance bonus when work is done well. We believe good work should be recognised, and we would rather reward you than simply expect it. What you can expect from us We are direct and we say what we mean. We treat the person who works in our home with respect, and we are reasonable people. If you are dependable and good, we will look after you.
