HK family asking to help with kids care

We are delighted to invite a committed Domestic Helper to join our loving family in Tseung Kwan O. Our household consists of one adult and a wonderful 4-year-old daughter who is on the autism spectrum. While she does not display aggressive behavior, she is selective with her meals and occasionally experiences anxiety.

Your primary role will be to provide attentive and nurturing care for our daughter. We are a collaborative team; you will have the opportunity to coordinate household chores with myself, my friend, and my daughter's father, who is actively involved in our daily routines. Additionally, I encourage you to assist in training my daughter to engage in basic household chores and cooking under guidance.

In terms of living arrangements, you will have a separate room from me and my daughter. However, due to my university friend going through a divorce, you may need to share your room with her. To ensure your privacy, I will provide both you and her with a bed tent. If you have any concerns about this arrangement, I can also ask her to sleep in the dining room instead. You won't need to take care of her, as she is quite independent and will assist with some household chores.

On occasion, my daughter’s father will visit and take care of her, allowing you some extra rest time, even on Saturdays and not just Sundays. To ensure comfort, I will inform you in advance when he will be coming over.

Your main duties will include caring for my daughter and guiding her in self-care tasks, such as potty training, as well as assisting with household chores like cutting vegetables, washing dishes, and vacuuming. She may find these tasks challenging at times, but we believe in the Montessori approach of allowing her to try and learn.

If you are compassionate, patient, and possess skills in child care, housekeeping, cooking, and marketing, we would love to hear from you! Your fluency in English and Filipino (Tagalog) will be highly appreciated as we aim to foster a harmonious communication environment.
