Hongkongese Family look for domestic helper

Overview

We are a welcoming, professional family seeking a full-time live-in domestic helper to care for our 4-year-old son. The role involves working closely with another Filipino helper who looks after our 2-year-old daughter. You will share duties and a room, so teamwork and good communication are essential.

Key Responsibilities 1. Childcare for 4-Year-Old Boy

• Morning routine: Waking, washing, dressing, breakfast

• School run: Escort to and from kindergarten (bus, MTR, or walking)

• Homework supervision: Phonics, writing, reading practice

• Prepare and pack healthy snacks for after-school

• Plan and supervise age-appropriate educational play, arts & crafts, and outdoor activities

• Accompany to extra-curricular classes (swimming, music, etc.) and playdates

• Teach good manners, self-care, and safety awareness

• Maintain an organised, stimulating learning environment

2. Cooking Responsibilities

• Prepare lunch and dinner for the 4-year-old boy (simple, healthy meals—recipes provided)

• Prepare dinner for two adults (follow recipes, with flexibility for dietary preferences)

• Coordinate with co-worker for meal preparation and kitchen tidiness

3. Shared Duties with Co-Worker

• Coordinate daily schedules and meal times

• Alternate bedtime routines when required

• Light household tasks related to the children (laundry, toy sanitising, keeping play areas tidy)

• Assist each other during outings or when either child is unwell

4. General Domestic Support

• Simple family cooking as needed

• Grocery listing and occasional market runs

• Share with co-worker on weekly deep-clean of common areas

Working Arrangement

• Live-in: Employer-provided room shared with the Filipino co-worker (bunk bed, A/C, wardrobe, Wi-Fi)

• Rest day: Every Sunday + all HK public holidays or pay-in-lieu by mutual agreement

• Annual leave: 12 days after 12 months of service
