Household with 3 adults and two dogs

Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated helper to join our household in Hong Kong. The household consists of 1 son who lives outside, two parents, and two medium sized dogs (20 kg). Primary responsibilities include housework / cleaning, laundry, shopping for market / grocery, preparing meals, and taking care of two dogs. This role requires a compassionate and honest individual who can effectively multitask, communicate well, and maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization.

Responsibilities:

Housework/Cleaning: Perform thorough cleaning tasks throughout the household, including dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and maintaining overall cleanliness and tidiness. Car wash at least once per week or as required. 

Laundry and Ironing: Manage laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, and ironing clothes and linens. Should be comfortable with handwashing and understand how to wash delicate and fragile clothing.

Market Shopping: Regularly visit the market to purchase food, household supplies, and other necessities, ensuring items are of good quality and within budget. Collect and return receipts for record keeping.

Cooking: Assist with or prepare meals, following dietary requirements and preferences, and ensuring the provision of nutritious and delicious meals. Primarily Chinese or Asian cooking. We are happy to teach if you are willing to learn.

Petcare: Provide care and attention to two dogs, ensuring their well-being, feeding, grooming, and regular exercise. Dogs need to be walked 2 times per day for 45 minutes or taken to the dog park for at least an hour. Market shopping, prepping raw food diet for dogs as needed.

General Household Duties: Maintain overall household organization, including organizing closets, cabinets, refrigerator, and storage areas, and ensuring efficient use of space and things are easily found.

Occasional Errands: Run errands as needed, mailing packages, or other necessary tasks.

Qualifications:

Communication: Maintain open and respectful communication with the employer and other household staff to ensure smooth coordination of tasks and a harmonious working environment.

Prior Experience: 8+ years of proven experience as a Domestic Helper or similar roles, preferably with experience in house cleaning, pet care, and elderly assistance.

Language Skills: Proficient in spoken and written communication in English.

Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently and maintain household order.

Pet-Friendly: Comfortable with dogs, knowledgeable about their care and their behavior, and able to handle their needs effectively.

Trustworthy and Reliable: Demonstrated reliability, trustworthiness, and integrity in previous roles. Preferred candidates will have good worth ethic and are eager to learn.

Physical Fitness: Good physical condition to manage house cleaning tasks, pet care.

Flexibility: Willingness to be flexible occasionally, including changing days offs on weekends or as required by the household's needs.
