1.Job Nature
This is a full-time live-in domestic helper position. The employer will provide a helper’s room.Main duties include general housework, cooking and household organization, childcare, after-school supervision, primary-level homework assistance and other household chores.Candidates shall be diligent, careful, self-disciplined, proactive, obedient to management and of good conduct.
2.Mandatory House Rules
1)No mobile phone use during working hours for housework and childcare, except for necessary communication with the employer.
2)Consent to CCTV installation in common areas of the residence.
3)The helper’s room may store some household items. The helper shall keep the room tidy.
4)No visitors are allowed at home when the employer is absent.
5)All purchases shall be reimbursed against original receipts. No false claims are permitted.
6)No personal borrowing or illegal activities. The helper shall be solely liable for all personal disputes.
7)Fluent English is required, Cantonese is preferred. Candidates shall have a certain level of education and be able to follow parenting guidelines and household rules.
3.Core Housekeeping Requirements
1)Keep the kitchen clean while cooking. Wash pots and pans and clean floors promptly. Dry cleaning tools after use.
2)Cleaning workflow: organize belongings first, then dust, then mop floors. Pay attention to corners and keep items sorted.
3)Sort laundry by colour and material. Give special care to children’s clothes. Wash undergarments separately.
4)Maintain daily tidiness and ventilation. Check gas, windows, water and electricity before leaving home. Check for expired food in the refrigerator.
4.Childcare (Key Responsibility)
1)After-school routine (15:00-20:00): snack, outdoor activities, homework, reading, washing and bedtime. Prioritize children’s eye protection. Prepare alternative activities for rainy days. If the employer works overtime, the helper shall independently arrange the child’s daily routine and inform the employer promptly.
2)Assist lower-grade schoolchildren with homework. Guide rather than do work for them. Check homework and report the child’s learning progress to the employer.
5.Safety (Non-Negotiable Rules)
1)Keep constant eye contact with the child when swimming. No mobile phone use or chatting. Must master drowning emergency procedures: call for help, render assistance, dial 999 and notify the employer. Failure to do so will result in rejection.
2)Prioritize children’s eye health. Limit screen time. Do not use eye drops as a substitute for proper eye care.
6.Work Competencies
1)Take initiative and complete tasks without being told.
2)When a child refuses to do homework, insist on study before play. Do not use snacks or electronic devices as rewards.
3)Report when household supplies are running low. Restock ordinary consumables on own initiative; seek employer’s approval for expensive items.
4)Remain calm and flexible when handling unexpected situations.
7.Personal Qualifications
1)Stable employment history with no frequent job-hopping.
2)Stable family background with no heavy personal burdens affecting work.
3)Self-disciplined on rest days, simple social life, no late-night outings or overnight stays away.
4)Stable temperament, no complaining attitude.
8.Employer-Helper Relationship
1)Respect professional boundaries. Do not overstep or make unreasonable demands.
2)Disagreements may be discussed. Follow employer’s instructions in emergencies and explain afterwards.
3)Ask for clarification when unsure. Do not make arbitrary decisions or refuse work directly.
4)Reflect on mistakes and make improvements.
