Kind Family Seeking a Reliable, Trustworthy & Loving Helper

We are a caring family looking for a responsible and trustworthy person to become an important part of our home and help care for our two young toddlers. This is more than just a job to us — we are hoping to find someone who genuinely loves children, brings positive energy into a home, and takes pride in helping a family thrive.

Our ideal candidate is nurturing, dependable, calm, and naturally joyful. Someone who smiles easily when they are feeling happy, enjoys engaging with little ones, likes to sing and dance with toddlers, and creates a loving, safe environment where children can grow and feel secure. Importantly, the ability to listen to young children, show respect for the children, teach and show them how to be a good person with strong morals, and provide honest feedback to the parents on children’s progress is a must. Ability to start between now and August 2026 with finished contract from previous employer or employer relocation. Exigent circumstances may be considered for the right candidate. Salary based on experience with performance bonuses (spot bonus and holiday bonuses for outstanding work, your birthday is also a day off). Needs to be flexible on day off.

Responsibilities Include:

• Loving, attentive care for two toddlers
• Planning fun, age-appropriate activities
• Preparing meals and snacks for the children and family
• Going to the market and grocery shopping
• Cleaning, laundry and keeping the home organized and tidy
• Helping the household run smoothly
• Supporting a peaceful, positive family environment

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

Truly loves babies and young children, and is experienced with children under 5 years old

Has 5+ years of experience in Hong Kong, ideally with a mix of local family employer experience and some western family employer experience

Enjoys cooking with a strong foundation in cooking ability

Knows their way around a kitchen and understands food safety

Can speak and understand Cantonese (to use at market, with toddlers)

Can speak, read and write English well enough to communicate with employer in person and whatsapp

Understands how to communicate with children so they will listen

Knows how to listen to children so they will respect and listen to you

Is kind, patient, affectionate, and emotionally matureIs honest, trustworthy, and reliable who follows through on commitments and does what they say they will doIs easygoing, drama-free, and respectful

Communicates clearly and respectfully

Takes initiative and enjoys helping wherever needed

Values cleanliness, organization, and teamwork

Finds pride in doing their job well and providing a good home environment for their employer and children

Can work in a team environment with another helper

Wants to build a long-term relationship with a family
