Live-in Filipina Domestic Helper – Focus on Newborn Care

We are a family of five (plus one existing helper) living in a 1,000 sq. ft. flat with 4 bedrooms. The father works overseas and visits occasionally. The mother stays at home. We already have one kind and experienced Filipina helper who takes care of the daily routines of our two older children (a 12-year-old girl and an 11-year-old boy). We are now looking for a second helper to focus primarily on our newborn baby girl (2 months old) and to help the mother with English conversation practice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Newborn Care (primary focus):

  • Full-time care of a 2-month-old baby girl, including feeding, burping, bathing, changing diapers, soothing, and monitoring sleep/awake time.

  • Sleep with the baby at night (co-sleep in the same room or as directed) and attend to her night feeds and needs.

  • Track baby’s routine (feeding, diaper changes, nap times) and maintain a clean, safe nursery environment.

  • Support baby’s developmental activities (tummy time, sensory play, reading/singing).

• English Tutoring & Communication:

  • Use excellent English at all times with the baby and the mother.

  • Gently teach the mother everyday English through conversation。

  • Read, sing, and talk to the baby in English to support early language exposure.

• Light Household Support (shared with existing helper):

  • Assist with baby’s laundry, sterilising bottles, tidying baby’s area.

  • No heavy housework (the other helper handles cleaning, cooking, and the older children’s needs). However, teamwork and willingness to help when needed is appreciated.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Education: University graduate (degree holder) – any field.

• Language: Fluent in English (spoken and written) with clear pronunciation. Must be confident to tutor and converse daily.

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of documented newborn/infant care experience in Hong Kong or abroad. Experience in a similar “second helper” role is a plus.

• Personality: Gentle, patient, attentive, hygienic, and trustworthy. Loves babies and understands safe sleep practices.

• Age preference: 30–42 years old (open but must be physically fit for night duty).

• Must be currently in Hong Kong and able to transfer (finished contract or valid reasons for early release).
