We are a family of five (parents, a 12-year-old daughter, an 11-year-old son, and a 2-month-old baby girl) living in a 1,000 sq. ft. flat with 4 bedrooms. The father works overseas and visits occasionally; the mother is at home. We currently employ one Filipina helper who is solely responsible for the newborn baby (night care, feeding, etc.). We are now looking for a second helper to take care of the two older children, prepare meals (especially Chinese food), and handle general housework.
Key Responsibilities:
Childcare for older children (aged 12 & 11):
Supervise their daily routines (waking up, meals, school preparation, homework supervision if needed, but mainly ensuring they follow schedules).
Prepare breakfast, lunch boxes, and dinner for the children (and occasionally for the whole family, with assistance from the other helper).
Keep their bedrooms and study areas tidy; do their laundry and ironing.
Accompany them to school or extracurricular activities if required (not essential but flexible).
Cooking & Meal Preparation:
Prepare home-cooked Chinese meals (lunch and dinner) for the family.
Plan weekly menus, do grocery shopping, and manage kitchen inventory.
Household Duties:
General cleaning (vacuuming, mopping, dusting) of the common areas.
Keep the kitchen and bathrooms clean and hygienic.
Assist with other household chores as needed, but the primary focus is on the older children and cooking.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Experience in childcare (school-age children) and household management.
Able to cook Chinese food is highly prefered.
Good communication skills, patient, reliable, and organized.
Able to work independently and cooperatively with the existing helper.
Currently in Hong Kong and available for transfer (finished contract or valid reason).
