Live-in Helper Wanted by British-Cantonese Family in Kowloon

We are a British-Cantonese family with a 3.5-year-old toddler and a newborn expected in January 2027. We are looking for a caring, hardworking, and trustworthy live-in helper to join our household. If you love kids, have strong experience in baby care, childcare, housekeeping, and cooking, we would love to hear from you!

Job Details:

• Start Date: Early – Mid October 2026 (TBC)
• Location: Kowloon City (900 sq ft, 3-room flat, 2-floor walk-up)
• Status Requirement: Currently located in Hong Kong
• Contract Status: Finished contract ✅ | Relocation/Financial termination with reference letter ✅

Key Responsibilities:

1. Childcare (3.5-year-old):

• Drop off and pick up our son from the school bus (whole-day school). Occasionally pick him up directly from school after extra-curricular activities
• Prepare tea-time snacks and dinner; look after him until we return

2. Newborn Care (Starting Jan 2027):

• Assist with newborn care (feeding, diaper changes, bathing, establishing sleep patterns, and sterilizing bottles)
• Primary care will be shared with/supported by parents

3. Housekeeping:

• Maintain a clean, hygienic, and safe environment for our growing family
• Perform routine chores including deep cleaning, laundry, ironing, and organizing

4. Cooking & Meal Prep:

• Cook a mix of Western and Chinese home-style dishes (recipes/guidance provided)
• Prepare simple, healthy toddler snacks and meal prep for baby weaning food (when the baby reaches 6+ months)

5. Grocery Shopping:

• Shop independently at local wet markets or supermarkets to manage household groceries and supplies

Requirements:

• Experience: Proven experience in newborn care, childcare, daily housekeeping, cooking, and wet market shopping
• Personality: Healthy, non-smoker, honest, patient, tidy, proactive, and genuinely loves children
• Language: Good conversational English (Cantonese is a plus)
• Skills: Independent, high standards of personal and home hygiene, and a positive willingness to learn and adapt to our family routine
