We are looking for a kind, caring and reliable live-in helper to join our household and help care for our elderly mother, who currently has some mobility difficulties.

This is a genuine elderly-care position, so previous experience caring for an elderly person is essential. We are looking for someone patient, gentle and compassionate who will treat our mother with respect and kindness.

❤️ About the role

You will share the household and care duties with another experienced maid. You will work together as a team and coordinate your roster and days off to make sure our mother is always well looked after.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• 👵 Caring for and assisting our elderly mother with her daily needs
• 🚶 Assisting with mobility and ensuring her safety and comfort
• 💕 Providing companionship and a caring presence
• 🍲 Preparing nutritious and tasty home-cooked meals
• 🏠 General household cleaning and organising
• 🤝 Working cooperatively with the other maid and communicating about our mother’s care

🌟 We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience caring for an elderly person – ESSENTIAL
• Is kind, patient, gentle and responsible
• Is comfortable assisting an elderly person with mobility difficulties
• Works well as part of a team
• Can speak Cantonese – highly preferred
• Enjoys cooking and can prepare good Chinese/home-style meals – a big plus!
• Has a positive attitude and takes pride in her work

🏡 Living arrangement

• Your own room
• Regular day off, coordinated with the other maid
• You will share the responsibility of caring for one elderly lady
• The household is generally peaceful and centred around our mother
• Family members may occasionally come and stay with us for short periods, but this is not a permanent arrangement
