Live-in helpers wanted for a gentle western family.

We are a warm and welcoming Western-Chinese family looking to hire two live-in domestic helpers to join our growing household. Our family includes a British father, a Chinese mother, a lively 2.5-year-old son, a newborn daughter on the way, and a very sweet, sleepy dog. We are seeking two polite, calm, and experienced helpers to work together harmoniously and support our family’s needs.

We are open to applications from individuals or pairs who are already familiar with working together. Both roles are equally important, and we value teamwork, respect, and a positive attitude.

Role 1: Housekeeping and Cooking

• Primary Responsibilities:

  • Cooking delicious and healthy Chinese and Western meals for the family.

  • General housekeeping, including cleaning, tidying, laundry, and organizing and grocery shopping.

  • Caring for our dog (feeding, light grooming, showering, and ensuring they are comfortable).

• Ideal Candidate:

  • Experienced in household management and cooking a variety of cuisines.

  • Familiar with caring for pets (especially dogs).

  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and takes pride in maintaining a clean and welcoming home.

Role 2: Newborn and Childcare

• Primary Responsibilities:

  • Caring for our newborn daughter (feeding, changing nappies, putting her to sleep, and ensuring her safety and well-being).

  • Assisting with our 2.5-year-old son (light supervision, engaging him in age-appropriate activities, and supporting his daily routine).

• Ideal Candidate:

  • Experienced in newborn and toddler care, with a gentle and patient approach.

  • Knowledgeable about child safety, hygiene, and developmental needs.

  • Able to work closely with the family to ensure a nurturing environment for the children.
