Mainland Chinese Family in Kennedy Town looking helper

Hello, we are a Chinese family based in Kennedy Town, looking for a caring and responsible domestic helper to assist with newborn baby care and household duties.

Family Background:

We are a family of 2 adults + newborn baby. An elderly family member may visit occasionally to assist with baby care. Both parents are working professionals and are looking for a reliable helper to support daily operations.

Main Responsibilities:

• Primary focus on newborn baby care, including feeding, diaper changing, bathing, soothing, and maintaining a safe and hygienic environment

• Assist with night care when needed (shared responsibility)

• General housekeeping (cleaning, laundry, ironing – shared arrangement)

• Cooking simple and healthy meals (Chinese style preferred)

• Grocery shopping and household errands, with occasional travel to Mainland China as required

Requirements:

• Proven experience in newborn or infant care is strongly preferred (e.g. 0–12 months), with confidence in handling feeding, diapering, bathing, soothing, and sleep routines

• Knowledge of basic newborn safety, hygiene, and health practices (e.g. sterilising bottles, handling milk preparation, recognising common baby discomfort signals)

• Patient, caring, and attentive, with a genuine passion for childcare and early development

• Good personal hygiene standards and a strong sense of cleanliness and organisation

• Physically fit and able to manage night care support when needed (shared arrangement)

• Able to follow instructions and establish structured daily routines for baby care

• Experience working with first-time parents or newborn schedules is a plus

• Basic cooking skills (preferably Chinese cuisine) and willingness to support simple meal preparation

• Able to communicate in English (Cantonese or Mandarin is an advantage)

Working Conditions:

• Location: Kenndy Town

• Accommodation: Live-in, separate space

• Day off: Flexible (preferably Weekend, negotiable)

• Salary: HK$5,200–6,000 depending on experience

• Start date: September 2026
