Senior employer looking for friendly and quiet helper

At our family home, we warmly welcome a dedicated Domestic Helper to join our household. Our employer, a caring female in her above 65 years old, resides with her adult daughter, granddaughter (8 years old), and has a son who visits regularly for dinner. Please note, there are no pets, and you will be the sole helper.

About the Home:

Our residence features high ceilings and consists of three bedrooms, along with spacious dining and living areas, encompassing a total of 800 – 900 square feet.

Why We Need a Helper:

Due to hand and shoulder injuries, the employer requires assistance with daily tasks that involve lifting and carrying. The helper will play a crucial role in supporting the employer, who is also responsible for caring for her granddaughter with picked up and dropped off at school each day by a driver at 7 AM. Your primary responsibilities will include accompanying the employer, assisting with household cleaning, and occasionally preparing meals.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• No marketing required.
• Waking up at 5:30 AM on weekdays and 7:00 AM on holidays.
• Assisting the employer’s daughter with dinner preparation by washing and cutting ingredients.
• Accompanying the employer on daily outings, utilizing the MTR for transportation.
• Helping take the granddaughter to school and various sports activities.
• Carrying bags for the employer.
• Following the granddaughter’s schedule and preparing her school and sports bags.
• Performing household cleaning, laundry, and other related tasks.

Ideal Candidate Criteria:

• Fluency in Cantonese is essential.
• A preference for a quieter environment, as the family values privacy and enjoys sharing moments together.
• Strong attention to personal hygiene and cleanliness.
• No prior childcare experience required, but the ability to interact positively with the granddaughter is appreciated.
• Willingness to allow the employer’s family to use the kitchen, especially when baking.
• Flexibility to adapt to the children's varied extracurricular schedules.
• Basic safety awareness, as occasional cleaning involves using a ladder due to high ceilings.
• The helper will work closely with the employer, so following her instructions is paramount.
• sleeping area is enclosed, and used by helper alone at night. There is limited storage space—approximately one suitcase—so a minimal amount of belongings is advised.
• Basic meals will be provided. However, you should be capable of preparing your own meals and will need to purchase any preferred snacks, beverages, or supplements at your own expense.
• Please note, CCTV cameras are present in various locations of the house for safety and security.
