Chinese family looking for help with elder care

Elderly Caregiver / Maid

We are looking for a caring, reliable, and responsible person to assist with the daily care of two elderly people, including one elderly person who is immobile and requires significant assistance. The other elderly person is mobile and largely independent.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate day-to-day care and assistance to two elderly people
• Assist the immobile elderly person with daily activities, personal care, mobility/positioning, and other needs as required
• Help with meals, feeding, and ensuring medications are taken as directed (where applicable)
• Prepare simple, healthy home-cooked meals
• General housekeeping, including cleaning, laundry, dishes, and maintaining a tidy home
• Assist with bathing, dressing, toileting, and other personal care as required
• Help with other reasonable household and caregiving duties as needed

Requirements

• Previous experience caring for elderly people is preferred
• Experience caring for an immobile or mobility-limited person is highly desirable
• Patient, compassionate, trustworthy, and respectful
• Physically capable of assisting with the care of an immobile elderly person
• Good hygiene and housekeeping standards
• Able to cook basic home-style meals
• Reliable and responsible
• Good communication skills

Important

This is primarily an elderly-care position. Housekeeping and cooking are part of the role, but the main priority is providing attentive, respectful, and compassionate care to the two elderly people.
