Live-in Elderly Caretaker & Household Manager (Cooking & Companionship)

We are a modern, open-minded family looking for a trustworthy, skilled, and compassionate live-in caretaker to provide full-time support for our elderly parents. This role involves primary responsibility for cooking, managing household duties, and offering companionship. You will be working alongside another household worker, with fair division of tasks.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook all meals (home-style, nutritious food)

• Provide kind, attentive care to elderly family members

• Maintain cleanliness and order in common areas (kitchen, living space, bedrooms)

• Do laundry, dishwashing, and household organizing

• Offer companionship and emotional support (especially through active listening)

• Monitor and report on elderly health and needs

• Coordinate respectfully with the second staff member

 

Who We’re Looking For:

• Skilled cook with experience in daily meal preparation

• Kind, patient, and emotionally mature

• Strong listening and communication skills

• Responsible, clean, and reliable

• Comfortable working with another team member

• Open-minded and respectful of different backgrounds (we are not a religious household, and were raised by Christian nannies and workers)
