Job Description
Primary Responsibilities - Child-Focused Care
- Assist with Daily Living:
- Feeding
- Dressing
- Personal hygiene
- Accompany the child to sleep according to her schedule
- Engage in play-based activities to keep her entertained
- Ensure the child's safety and provide supervision at all times
- Support Mobility Needs:
- Provide walking assistance as needed, with hand support
- Help with sitting and positioning for safety
- Assist with lifting and transferring (bed, pram, car, etc.)
- Help position the child in the car seat and pram
- Manage the pram confidently during outings (parks, malls, etc.)
- Feeding & Hydration Support:
- Prepare soft or semi-solid meals tailored to the child's dietary needs
- Feed the child slowly and safely using appropriate techniques to prevent choking
- Exhibit patience and creativity with picky eaters
- Support hydration using spoons, straws, or special cups
- Encourage interest in food through appealing meal presentation
- Personal Care & Medical Support:
- Administer medication, primarily a natural sleep tablet as needed
- Assist with hygiene routines (diapering, washing, etc.)
- Ensure safe lifting and proper body positioning for the child
- Maintain fall prevention measures and ensure proper supervision
- Mobility & Outdoor Support:
- Support the child in walking both indoors and outdoors
- Safely position the child in:
- Car seat
- Pram
- Stroller
- Home seating arrangements
- Perform safe transfers from bed to pram, car, or walker
- Secondary Support (If Comfortable & Available):
- Assist with light household tasks for the mother when time permits
