Australian Family looking for helper

We are an Australian family with two school-aged boys (10 & 7) seeking a helper who is great with children, kind, patient, trustworthy, emotionally sensitive, proactive and with good attention to detail. Our family has lived in Singapore for 14 years and values respect, open communication, and a positive home environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Household Management

• Overall management and organisation of the home including tidying, cleaning, cooking, and shopping
• Daily general cleaning (sweeping, mopping, dusting, wiping surfaces)
• Cleaning of bathrooms and kitchen
• Laundry, ironing, and proper storage of clothes
• Keeping the house tidy and organised
• Proper use and care of household appliances
• Managing food usage and reduce wastage
• Follow meal plan and recipes
• Use of shopping app to order required food
• Management of household spend/budget

2. Childcare

• Care for and supervise two boys (10 & 7 years old)
• Prepare meals and snacks for the children
• Ensure children follow daily routines (school, homework, meals, bedtime, tidying)
• Ready children for school bus and accompany children to activities when required
• Engage positively with children (talking, play, encouragement)
• Ensure children’s safety and well-being at all times
• Support children to maintain cleanliness of their rooms, and tidying belongings

3. Cooking

• Prepare daily meals for the family with the guide of a monthly menu plan
• Able to cook simple, nutritious home-cooked meals
• Willing to learn new recipes if required
• Keep kitchen clean and hygienic

4. Grocery Shopping

• Online ordering of groceries
• Grocery shopping at nearby markets/supermarkets
• Manage household supplies and inform employer when items need replenishment
• Oversee grocery budget
