Caring for Elderly Grandmother Who is Recovering from a Fall

We are currently seeking a genuinely caring and kind-hearted individual to assist in the care of our grandmother, who spends most days alone and is recovering from a recent fall.

Your ability to converse in Mandarin would be a wonderful addition, as it would allow for meaningful communication with Grandma.

We are looking for support in the following areas:

• Assisting her with walking using a walker to promote mobility and confidence
• Helping her safely transition from bed to her walker, particularly as she recovers from a back injury
• Providing support with bathing and toileting, ensuring her safety in the bathroom to prevent slips and falls

In addition to caregiving, we would also appreciate assistance with meal preparation:

• We need someone who can cook and prepare nutritious meals for Grandma
• As her appetite has decreased, she now consumes small portions (approximately 5-10 spoonfuls) per meal, so assistance in preparing or reheating small quantities every couple of hours would be beneficial
• Ensuring Grandma stays hydrated throughout the day
• Administering her medication in the correct dosage and at the appropriate times

Additional information about the role:

• You will have your own private room for personal space
• Meals can be cooked and enjoyed at home each day
• A well-deserved day off is provided every Sunday
