Chinese American family looking for live-in helper

Intro:

We are a asian-american family of 4 with 2 adults, and 2 children (8 year old boy and 2 year old girl). Both kids go to school during the week between 7:40 to 4 or 5 pm depending on the schedule of the day. We are looking for a helper to primarily take care of the children, pack their bags, drop off and pick up from school, and play with them. 

Our ideal candidates should be experienced in working with young children and are comfortable to work independently without supervision. For example, taking MRT or bus to pick up a child from acitvities. Our housework scope include cleaning, laundry, ironing and and cooking (dinner and light breakfast). We give enough trust our helper if they are proven to be trustworthy and responsible. We go on holidays often and usually bring helper based on mutual agreement. We can give extra days off if helper prefers rest days instead of going on holiday with us. We can offer 2 off days in a month and flexible about the dates (Saturday or Sunday). We pay extra $ if helper works on an off day.

We do not restrict handphone usage, calling home, eating snacks and taking rests during the day as long as work is done and children are not present. Our current helper take rest between 1pm - 3pm and is free to use her phone when she is alone at home. 

However, we value our privacy and do not premit any video/photo taking inside our home for TikTok, Instagram or Youtube, especially when children are present. No such restrictions outside of the condo on offdays. 

 

preferred qualifications:

Must be independent and have experience in Singapore.

Preferrably have completed more than 1 contract with good employer feedback. 

Can get around independently with public transportation.

Can communicate (read write) fluently in English OR Mandarin Chinese. 

Must love children and can keep up with high energy kids.

Willing to learn new recipes.

Salary negotiable with potential to increase if good performance.
