Chinese Elderly Couple looking for live-in helper

Looking for a caring, patient helper whose primary role is to care for our grandmother (78), who has mild, non-aggressive dementia and diabetes (experience with dementia would be advantageous). A second, lighter responsibility is helping our grandfather (82), who is independent and mobile.

Requirements

• Nationality: Myanmar preferred
• Able to speak some Chinese/Mandarin (Chinese-speaking household)
• Willing and able to care for the elderly; experience with dementia care an advantage
• Able to do simple cooking and house cleaning

The household

• HDB executive maisonette, with a separate room for the helper
• Two care recipients only — no children, no pets
• Grandmother, 78, Singaporean Chinese, mild and non-aggressive dementia with diabetes (primary care focus)
• Grandfather, 82, Singaporean Chinese, independent and mobile

Duties

• Primary: daily care and companionship for our grandmother — meals, medication reminders, hygiene, mobility, and supervision
• Secondary: light assistance and companionship for our grandfather
• Simple home-cooked meals
• General housekeeping and cleaning

Rest days

• 2–4 per month, on Sundays

Start date

• Flexible — open to a transfer helper already in Singapore or a fresh hire. Immediate or near-term start preferred.
