Chinese family : helper for girl 4.5 + baby boy

We are a friendly Chinese family in East Singapore with two young children: a 4.5-year-old girl and a baby boy. Mum is at home during the day, so you will be working alongside her as a team, not alone. We are looking for someone who will stay with us long term.

What you will do- Cook home-style Chinese meals for the family (pork is part of our cooking).- Housekeeping, laundry and grocery shopping.- Take care of our daughter's bath and bedtime routine every evening: bath, brush teeth, story, lights out. We keep the same calm routine each night.- Watch the baby for short periods when Mum needs a hand. Mum is the main carer for the baby.

Who we are looking for- Currently working in Singapore and able to transfer, or finishing your contract soon.- At least 2 years with one employer.- Experience cooking for a Chinese family.- Experience with young children, especially bath and bedtime for a preschool child.- Comfortable working with the employer at home during the day and open to doing things our way.- Calm, patient and gentle. We do not rush or raise our voice with the children.- Can speak Mandarin or English well enough to talk with Mum every day. Mandarin is a big plus.
