Job Description
- We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Domestic Helper to assist my elderly mother, who is coping with depression and mobility challenges. Our mother can sometimes be suspicious and grumpy, but she is not physically aggressive. We require someone who is mature, firm, and exceptionally patient—qualities that will help in managing her moods without taking them personally.
- Responsibilities include aiding her with bathing (she is 1.55m tall and weighs 62kg) and changing her clothing; she does not typically wear diapers, except when going out. You will also be expected to provide support while she walks and assists her with toilet visits. she attends a center from 9 AM to 12 PM, four days a week, where you will accompany her. Lunch preparation is not necessary, allowing you to focus on her needs. Need to go to doctor appointments with her
- In addition to personal care, you will engage her in exercises (physiotherapy movements) and cognitive games, or enjoy watching TV together, while also handling housekeeping duties. Dinner preparation will be required for both her and our father, who is independent but slightly hard of hearing; he is kind-hearted despite his stern appearance and tendency to speak loudly. Sometimes , my dad gets mad with mum and she can raise his voice to scold her.
- This position is best suited for candidates who possess the maturity and patience needed to thrive in such an environment, as it can be mentally demanding. Those who may lack these qualities should reconsider applying, as the role may not be a suitable fit. Additionally, please note that phone usage during the day is limited to break time, with no personal calls or messages permitted until evening.
