We are a warm, Chinese and English-speaking family of six living in Singapore (2 adults + 4 children), currently seeking a live-in Foreign Domestic Worker (FDW) to join our household and work together with our current helper.

This is a long-term position for someone who is responsible, proactive, and enjoys being part of a busy but supportive family environment. Our household is often lively and noisy due to our four young children, and we are looking for someone who can bring a calm, cheerful, and steady energy amidst the daily bustle. We believe in raising children who are independent and responsible, which often means encouraging them to take ownership of their own tasks — even when it’s more effort up front. We are looking for someone who can help us enforce good habits and set healthy boundaries, with a "firm and fair" approach that children respect and feel cared for within.

👶 Key Responsibilities

• Work as a team with another helper to manage daily household duties

• Childcare support: bathing, feeding, playtime, bedtime routines, school prep

• General cleaning, laundry, and home organization

• Cooking: prepare healthy and balanced family meals (with a preference for Chinese dishes)

• Plan and manage household tasks with minimal supervision, using good judgment and initiative

We are looking for someone who is:

• Experienced – Has worked with families (in Singapore or abroad e.g., Malaysia, UAE)

• Long-term mindset – Preferably has completed multiple contract terms with one or more families, especially with Chinese households

• Child-friendly – Confident and caring around small children

• Proactive – Comfortable receiving high-level direction and breaking it down into actionable steps

• Detail-oriented and diligent – Keeps things organized and clean without constant prompting

• Good communicator – Asks questions when unsure, and communicates clearly and respectfully

• Culinary interest – Enjoys cooking and has experience with Chinese cuisine

• Calm and positive – Brings patience, joy, and composure to daily life

• Uplifting presence – Exudes a happy, warm, and steady energy that contributes to a peaceful household environment

• Firm but caring – Able to set and enforce age-appropriate boundaries with children while maintaining warmth and emotional support

• Flexible with rest days – Willing to work Sundays and take Saturdays off instead
