Job Scope for Household Helper

We are looking for a responsible, organised and caring household helper to support the daily running of the home. The role requires someone who takes pride in cleanliness, hygiene, healthy cooking, household organisation and respectful support for family routines.

Key Responsibilities 1. Housekeeping, Cleaning and Hygiene

• Maintain the home in a clean, neat and hygienic condition at all times.

• Carry out daily cleaning, dusting, mopping, laundry, ironing and general tidying.

• Keep bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, living areas and storage areas well organised.

• Ensure high standards of hygiene, especially in the kitchen, bathrooms and food preparation areas.

• Manage household supplies and inform the employer when items need to be replenished.

2. Cooking and Meal Preparation

• Prepare healthy, balanced and diverse meals for the family.

• Be able to cook both Western and Asian food, or be willing to learn.

• Plan meals with attention to nutrition, freshness and variety.

• Support grocery shopping, food storage and kitchen organisation.

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene during food preparation and cooking.

3. Household Maintenance Support

• Look after the general condition of the household.

• Monitor appliances, furniture, lighting, air-conditioning, plumbing or other household matters and report any issues promptly.

• Coordinate simple maintenance arrangements when required.

• Keep household areas safe, orderly and well maintained.

4. Support for Teen Routine Needs

• Support the daily routine of teenagers in a respectful and age-appropriate manner.

• Assist with meals, laundry, school items, room organisation and daily schedule reminders when needed.

• Provide a calm, reliable and supportive home environment.

• Respect privacy, independence and family boundaries.
