Looking for an Experienced Transfer Helper – Family of 3

We are an Indian family of three (2 adults and our happy 2-year-old daughter) living in Singapore - for nearly 9 years. Our current helper has been with us for around 3 years, but due to her personal circumstances we are now looking for a new transfer helper to join our family.

Above everything else, we are looking for someone who is trustworthy, responsible and genuinely understands child safety and hygiene.

We are both very hands-on parents and take a deep personal interest in caring for and raising our daughter ourselves. At the same time, there will naturally be times every day when our helper needs to take responsibility for her, particularly when we are working or away from home. We therefore need someone we can genuinely trust to step in confidently and responsibly, care for her with warmth and patience, use good judgment, and always prioritise her safety and wellbeing.

What we are looking for:

• Good experience caring for babies or young children. First-aid training is a plus, but not essential.
• Very safety-conscious, hygienic and attentive when caring for a child.
• Someone who genuinely likes children and can care for our daughter with patience, affection and responsibility.
• proactive about organising play dates and accompanying our daughter when she goes to play with her friends
• Able to keep the house consistently clean, organised and tidy. We have fairly high standards of cleanliness.
• A good cook, or someone genuinely willing and able to learn. We eat Indian food as well as Chinese, Italian, Mexican and other cuisines. Experience with Indian cooking is a plus.
• Our home is vegetarian, and only vegetarian food can be cooked in the house. The helper is welcome to eat non-vegetarian food outside or bring prepared food from outside. A reasonable food allowance for this can be discussed.
• Pleasant, polite, positive and respectful in her behaviour and communication.
• Comfortable treating visiting grandparents, family members and guests with the same courtesy and respect as everyone else in the home.
• Emotionally mature and able to communicate if something is bothering her rather than becoming withdrawn or allowing her mood to affect her work or childcare.
• Responsible with her own finances. We have a firm policy of not providing personal loans or salary advances.
• Willing to follow all Singapore laws and MOM requirements.

We do not normally require our helper to travel with us.

A little about our home:We are a warm and respectful family and care deeply about creating a peaceful home. We do not shout at our helper or speak disrespectfully to people in our home, and we expect the same respect in return. We want the person joining us to feel comfortable communicating openly with us and, ideally, to build a stable and happy long-term working relationship.

We are especially interested in someone who takes pride in her work, has a naturally responsible attitude and is looking for a respectful family where she can stay for the longer term.
