Looking for caregiver for my elderly parents

I am seeking a compassionate and dedicated Domestic Helper to provide support for my elderly father, who is experiencing mild dementia.

A. We are looking for a helper who:

• Has experience caring for elderly individuals with dementia. While nursing qualifications are not required, familiarity with this condition is essential.
• Is an experienced transfer assistant currently residing in Singapore, with several years of relevant work experience.
• Is available to work primarily in the evenings and overnight, allowing for rest during the day.
• Can assist my father to the toilet during the night if he wakes and help him back to bed afterward.
• Is capable of changing his diaper if necessary, changing bed sheets when required, and ensuring he is comfortably settled back in bed.
• Possesses excellent English language skills for clear and effective communication with my father.
• Exhibits kindness, patience, trustworthiness, and flexibility.
• Is available to start work as soon as possible.

B. A little about my father:

• We are currently arranging for him to attend a day care center, where he will leave in the morning and return home in the late afternoon.
• He lives with my mother.
• There are no children or pets in the household.
• He is calm and non-aggressive.
• He spends most of his time sleeping and is generally peaceful when awake.
• He is mobile, although he walks slowly.
• He feeds himself independently.
• He uses a hearing aid.
• We have arranged for a caregiver to assist him with showering each day.

The care provider will have a private room. Salary and days off will be discussed during the interview process.
