Looking for Independent Household Help

We are looking for a Filipino or Myanmar helper to join our small household of two adults and one cat, living in an executive HDB apartment.

The main role is housekeeping, including cleaning, cooking, laundry, and caring for our cat and plants, and car washing. Occasionally, we may need help with errands for Grandma, who lives two blocks away, or accompanying her to the shops.

The usual arrangement is a five-day working week, with Saturdays and Sundays off. If occasional weekend help is needed, we will discuss arrangements in advance. The first level of the home should be cleaned before leaving for days off. We encourage you to find activities during your two days off. It would be good to pick up a skill or take a course. Employer will consider sponsoring reasonably priced courses if it is related to the helper's work.

Work starts at 5 am. From 6 pm onwards, you are generally welcome to relax in your room, with some remaining duties such as clearing up after our dinner. Personal phone use is welcome outside working time.

We hope to find someone who:

• Speaks English and can work independently.
• Takes initiative and manages household routines with minimal supervision.
• Is cheerful, emotionally independent, and comfortable keeping herself occupied.
• Respects privacy and maintains clear boundaries between her personal social life and our household.
• Can cook

We both work full time and tend to need quiet time after work, so someone comfortable with a calm household and limited conversation would suit us well.

Discretion is especially important. We expect our helper to keep household matters confidential and avoid sharing personal information about us with friends, neighbours, or our extended family.

We are easygoing and value a respectful, comfortable working relationship, with clear expectations and mutual consideration.
