Newborn Care | American Family | with Co-Worker

Hello! We are hiring a full-time helper to be part of our team to help manage our household and childcare. Both parents work full-time outside of the house. We need someone who is trustworthy and independent, who honors instructions with minimal supervision and communicates well. Most importantly, you must be comfortable working with a co-worker.

 Job Duties: 

• Childcare: Primary responsibilities are newborn care for baby expected in May 2025. Shared responsibilities for our 4.5 year old daughter.
• Housekeeping: shared responsibilities including laundry, cleaning, vacuuming and dust management, other normal housekeeping
• Cooking: shared responsibilities to prepare healthy family-style meals, follow recipes. Help with occasional entertaining/dinner parties
• Marketing/Groceries: shared responsibilities managing grocery lists, budget, shopping, washing/storage/disposal of food 
• Small dog care: backup responsibility looking after our small dog, who requires two walks per day and other care instructions
• Car washing: shared responsibility looking after car care.

 

Requirements: Strong communicator in regular contact with working parents about newborn/infant baby. 

• 5+ years experience including Newborn care, Western families and childcare.
• Must be comfortable working with a co-worker. We have helper who has worked with us 1.5 years looking after our older daughter and household responsibilities. Our house has too much work for 1 helper, and we employ 2 helpers to help manage workload comfortably and fairly.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills 
• Efficient and independent worker who can multi-task and manage household tasks with minimal supervision
• Strong organization, cleanliness and management of items in the house including kitchen/grocery stocks, children's toys and clothing items
• Respect instructions for household and childcare, which may include scheduling, nutrition, tidying/tasks for child and discipline at times
