Singaporean Chinese Family Looking for a capable

Family consists of 2 working adults, a (very active and cheeky) 7 year old boy, and 4 year old girl.

Your responsibilities include:

• Preparing breakfast and prepping the children for school
• Housework (cleaning, ironing, laundry)
• Preparing boy's lunch (as well as your own)
• Picking boy up from school and sending him to his afternoon enrichment classes (if any on that day)
• Making sure boy is well taken care of in the afternoon (eat, shower, sit with him to do his homework.. I normally don't assign housechores in the afternoons because you need to look after boy, but this means any housechores must be completed in the mornings)
• Cook dinner
• Prep the children for bed

Expectations

• Independent (please don't expect me to wake you up in the mornings……)
• No mobile phone use during the day because you are the only one looking after boy (kids go to bed at 8.30pm so you are generally free to rest/use your phone at night… unless got emergency like someone throw up.. or is ill… then we may need some help)
• loves children (oh they will test your patience, but my children are generally very loving towards our helpers, expect lots of hugs and kisses from girl)
• able to manage time and chores
• plan weekly menu with me (you are the one cooking, so planning should be done with your input)
• house must be clean - girl is allergic to dust mites AND has asthma.

Benefits

• 2 Sundays off a month (you get to decide how to space this out)
• Use of wifi when you are resting at night
• Sleep separately (for now, anyway. Not sure if situation will change - so far we have managed to keep the kids with us… the kids' toy shelf and wardrobes are in your room though)

So far, we have treated our helpers fairly ( I think!). I won't say we are fantastic employers who will pay alot of bonuses etc, but we treat helpers like family. When we buy nice food, we will share.( That being said, if you buy snacks, HIDE IT FROM THE KIDS. Those two are snack monsters). If/When we go somewhere fun with the children, we will bring our helper along. We try to give our helpers adequate rest. That's about it. Contact if keen.
