Singaporean family looking for Helper

Helper Required – Elderly Care

I am looking for a polite, patient and caring helper to take care of my elderly mother.

My mother has mild dementia. Her main condition is that she is very forgetful, so the helper must be patient and willing to repeat and remind her calmly.

My requirements:

• Must have good experience ( min 5 years) caring for elderly people
• My mother can walk by herself, but she is physically weak and needs close supervision and assistance to prevent falls
• Must understand elderly safety and fall prevention
• Must be very patient, gentle, polite and caring
• Must be comfortable caring for someone who is forgetful and may ask the same thing repeatedly
• Must be able to speak Chinese so she can communicate with my mother
• Must be able to cook Chinese food
• Able to do normal household chores
• Preferably has previous experience caring for an elderly person with mild dementia, weakness or mobility problems

Most important to me: I want someone who is genuinely patient and respectful towards elderly people. Good attitude and patience are more important than simply having many years of experience.
