EXPERIENCED FAMILY COOK – COOKING IS THE MAIN PRIORITY

Location: KuwaitPosition: Full-Time Live-In Domestic Helper / Family Cook

We are a respectful Kuwaiti family looking for an experienced and genuinely skilled female family cook to join our household.

MAIN PRIORITY: COOKING 🍳

Cooking is the most important requirement for this position.

We are looking for someone who can independently prepare high-quality home meals and has real experience cooking for a family.

Preferred cooking experience:

• Kuwaiti / Gulf / Middle Eastern cuisine
• Rice dishes such as Machboos
• Soups, stews, sauces and daily family meals
• Meat, chicken and fish dishes
• Indian / Filipino / Asian cuisine is a plus
• Baking and desserts are a plus
• Ability to plan meals and manage kitchen ingredients
• Good kitchen hygiene and food-safety habits
• Able to follow recipes but also cook independently without needing constant supervision

IMPORTANT: We are looking for a real family cook, not primarily a cleaner who knows basic cooking.

HOUSEKEEPING

Cooking is the first priority.

There is already another housemaid working in the home, and the lady of the house is present.

Therefore, housekeeping duties will be secondary and shared, including:

• General cleaning and tidying
• Kitchen cleaning after cooking
• Laundry / ironing when needed
• Keeping the cooking area organized
• Helping with groceries and kitchen supplies when required

CHILDCARE

There is a mother/housewife present in the home and another domestic helper.

Childcare is therefore not the main responsibility.

However, we would appreciate someone who is comfortable with light childcare and helping with the child when needed, under the supervision/presence of the mother.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

We prefer someone who is:

• An excellent and experienced home cook
• Experienced with Gulf/Middle Eastern families
• Preferably has previous experience in Kuwait or another GCC country
• Clean and organized
• Honest, respectful and responsible
• Patient and friendly with children
• Comfortable working alongside another domestic helper
• Able to work independently in the kitchen
• Willing to learn our family’s preferred dishes and recipes

BEFORE HIRING

A video interview is REQUIRED before we make any hiring decision.

During the interview, we would like to discuss:

1. Previous employers and experience
2. The dishes she can cook independently
3. Her experience with Kuwaiti/Gulf food
4. Her daily cooking routine
5. Meal planning and grocery management
6. Cleaning and kitchen organization
7. Childcare experience
8. Expected salary and days off
9. Availability and current location
10. References from previous employers, if available

If the candidate is currently in Kuwait, we would prefer to meet her in person before finalizing the employment.

For candidates outside Kuwait, we will conduct a video interview first and verify the relevant employment information before proceeding with recruitment.

COOKING SKILL WILL BE THE MAIN FACTOR IN OUR DECISION.
