Looking for Honest, Proactive, Independent

We are a family of 4 with 2 dogs loking for someone to help with the dogs, manage the house, and babysit our 2 year old at times. This job is primarily about housekeeping and taking care of the dogs so if you are looking for a nanny position this is not it.

We are close to breaking contract with our current helper due to issues lying, with not being independent or proactive. The candidate we are looking for must be honest, proactive, independent, and does not take advantage of our respect for them.

About Us

• We live in Al Raha Beach, Abu Dhabi
• Im American and my wife is from Hong Kong
• My oldest son is 17 years old and my youngest is 2 years old
• We have 2 dogs, a street dog from Hong Kong named Darna (Filipina name) and an english bulldog rescue named Ferdinand

Payment and hours

• We will pay 1000USD fixed every month (this is negotable for the right candidate)
• The standard hours are Monday to Friday between 6AM and 4PM; if you cannot finish your work by 4PM you can finish the work the next day
• When we go on holidays we will ask you to stay to take care of the dogs you will receive extra pay for every day you work
• If you babysit our 2 year old after 4PM or on the weekends we will pay extra

Your responsibilities

• Walk the dogs Monday to Friday at 6AM; wash dogs every 2 weeks and brush their teeth every week
• Clean and manage the house to include laundry 2x per week, clean bathrooms / kitchen, mop floors once per week, change linens once per week,
• Get groceries for meals, ensure there is always cleaning supplies, standard cooking supplies, toliet paper and as asked buy specific items
• Cook 4 dinner meals Monday to Thursday based on a western or Chinese recipe
• You will not be asked to help clean or cook for our 17 year old as he needs to be independent himself

About Who We Want To Hire

• You MUST be good with dogs as the English Bulldog is a rescue who was poorly treatedextremely stubborn and does not like to walk
• You MUST LIKE DOGs including playing, taking care of them, and like to take long walks with the them (1 to 2 hours when the weather is nice)
• You MUST be good with toddlers although you will not need to babysit the 2 year old much other than maybe 30 minutes a day
• You MUST be independent and proactive to manage the house; we do not want to have to ask you to do everything but we will not expect you to do something which we havent previously asked
• You MUST be good at maintaining a regular schedule as we will not ask you everyday to do things you must have a schedule in which you will complete tasks
• We prefer if you know how to cook but I can teach you if needed
• We prefer if you are in shape as we will ask that you walk the dogs for at least an hour a day
• We prefer if you live out but we have a room in the apartment if needed
• If you know Cantonese this is a plus as my wife and 2 kids are fluent in Cantonese

Once we find the right candidate we will break contract with the existing helper
