Angelique

Hello, my name is Angelique. I am 36 years old and I am from the Philippines. I am married and I have two daughters aged 17 and 12.

Here is an overview of my work experience:

I worked in Saudi Arabia for four years for a family of six, which included two adults and four children aged 2, 4, 8, and 10 when I started. By the time I left, they were 6, 8, 12, and 14. My responsibilities included all household chores such as cleaning, washing clothes, ironing, cooking, baking, taking care of the air conditioning, and cleaning the windows. I also took care of the children, which included accompanying them when we went out, playing with them, and ensuring they were safe. I assisted with changing diapers, helped the youngest shower, and got them dressed in the morning. I would prepare meals for the family before they went to work and school.

When I was left alone with the toddler, I would help him fall asleep by singing lullabies before starting my other tasks. I made it a priority to have lunch prepared before everyone returned home. I am an excellent cook and can prepare various dishes, including Kabsa and baked macaroni, depending on the family's preferences. I am adept at following recipes and managing my time effectively.

There were occasions when my employers visited their parents' home, during which I would supervise and feed the kids. When my employer traveled to Turkey, they left the children in my care for a week, demonstrating their trust in me. We also traveled together to Dubai, Kuwait, and Dammam, where I was always present to oversee the children. I began working for this family in July 2015 and continued until June 2019, serving as the only helper for the entire four years.

In 2019, I started working with my former employer in Hong Kong, who had a family of four: two adults and two children aged 6 and 8. I worked for this family for four years, during which my responsibilities included cleaning, washing clothes, cooking, marketing, and taking care of their two cats as well as the children. I helped the children prepare for school each day and occasionally picked them up from school, accompanying them to their extracurricular activities. In the evenings, I would prepare dinner, often cooking three different dishes with soup upon request. I take great joy in cooking and also enjoyed baking cakes and cookies for the family. I worked independently, without coworkers. After completing two contracts, I expressed my desire to seek another job with a higher salary, and my employer was understanding and supportive in allowing me to leave.

Currently, I am working for an elderly employer with two other helpers, caring for one elderly lady. My duties involve cleaning the house, garden, garage, basement, and rooftop. I also wash clothes and assist in the kitchen by doing dishes and managing workloads when we have visitors. I began working here in August 2023 and will continue until April 2025.

As for my personality:

I am a hardworking helper with a good heart. I am independent, organized, and respectful toward my employers, treating them like family. I am trustworthy, easygoing, energetic, and always cheerful. I avoid arguments, particularly with the children, as I genuinely enjoy their company. I communicate with them calmly, lovingly, and respectfully, ensuring they feel comfortable around me. I also enjoy making jokes to bring joy to their day.
