Arlyn

Hello Mam/Sir, my name is Arlyn. I’m 39, almost 40, and I'm married with three kids. I’ve been working in Hong Kong since 2012, and my husband also works here as a driver. I consider myself an honest and God-fearing person. I learn things quickly, and I love cooking. On my days off, I spend time with my husband, and we sometimes go hiking in winter or attend church together.

My first employer was an Indian family, and I worked for them for four years. I took care of their two kids, got them ready for school, and made their breakfast. I also prepared lunchboxes for my employers because they were vegetarian. After that, I worked for another Indian family who were non-vegetarians. I cooked pork, beef, and chicken using Indian recipes, and I also cleaned the house, did the marketing, laundry, and ironing, and looked after their 4-year-old. After my contract, I didn’t renew it and then found a French single mom with two kids aged 9 and 11. My daily tasks included cleaning, cooking, marketing, and ironing. Unfortunately, before I finished my contract, they had to move back to their country for good.

Next, I worked for another French family where I took care of a newborn. My tasks were similar: cleaning the house, cooking, ironing, and laundry, starting my work at 8 am and finishing at 7 pm. I was living out. I completed my 2-year contract and went back to my country for three years, but I returned to work because my eldest child is now in college, and I need to earn more income.

Currently, I’m working for a Chinese family, looking after their almost 2-year-old baby. My daily tasks include cleaning the house, caring for the baby, and taking him to activities, playdates, or the playground. I can cook a variety of foods and follow recipes easily. I really enjoy cooking. My current contract ends this coming May, and my last visa is valid until May 20, 2026.
