Good day, ma’am/sir. My nickname is Alyn, 38 yrs old with 3 sons they are 16, 14 and 12 yrs old. I am a solo parent since 2013. My first experience working abroad as a domestic helper was in Singapore in 2013. I took care of a family of an elderly couple and 2 sons. They have 3 small dogs which I prepared and cooked their food for, bathed, dried their hair, played with them and walked once a day. My boss was very sick with stage 4 complicated cancer. I followed him for his doctor’s appointments, check ups, operations, chemo and wherever he wanted to go and eat until he became weak, must use a wheelchair and then stayed in a hospice for a few days, and there he passed away 6 months before I finished my contract. The eldest son renewed my contract and I looked after their newborn son and the 3 dogs until another newborn came, the second son, which I took care of for 3 months because in December 2016 they relocated to Malaysia. I also did car wash and cooked simple Chinese recipes. Marketing and groceries, daily housework, washing and ironing clothes.

My 3rd employer was an elderly couple and their granddaughter. They are an Eurasian family who likes Malay food. I performed daily housework, marketing and groceries, cooking simple food, washing and ironing clothes. They let me call them mama (84) and papa (87) they are very nice people. Just finished 1 contract as the granddaughter can’t afford to pay me anymore.

I am now 4 yrs in Hong Kong with one employer. Taking care of a child (4 yrs old) and a newborn now 6 months old already. I do daily housework, cooking Chinese food, washing and ironing clothes, car washing, marketing and groceries, pet care (African turtle) for 3 yrs, sending and picking up a child from school and outside activities. My contract with them will finish on April 25, 2026.
