Hi, I’m Bernadette, and I’m 43 years old. I have 10 years of experience as a domestic helper. For the past 8 years, I’ve been working in Singapore, mostly with Indian families. I’ve taken care of a newborn and a toddler. In my first job with an Indian family, I learned to cook a variety of vegetarian dishes and got familiar with different spices. I also learned how to make chapatis and many Indian meals. Right now, I'm with a Chinese family in Hong Kong that has two adults and two grown kids, aged 29 and 30. My duties here include washing the car, shopping, cooking, and doing housework. I also look after a 3 year old boy and help arrange playdates for him. There’s also a 5 year old girl, and the family is expecting a new baby in June. Unfortunately, my current employer has decided to terminate my contract, and I will be released on August 30, 2026. I’m independent and can work well without supervision. I’m flexible, and I adapt easily to different cultures.
