To my future employer,
My name is Beverly, but everyone calls me Bev. I’m 52 years old and I’ve spent 22 years working here in Hong Kong with three different families. My first job was with a family of six — a couple, their three kids, and a grandmother. It was a lot of work, but I really enjoyed it. I love kids and I’m passionate about cooking. My tasks included household chores, taking the kids to school, shopping, and taking care of the grandma.
My second employer had four family members — a couple with a four-year-old and a newborn baby. I loved this family so much because they were really kind and good people. However, I later got the chance to work for a more challenging family, which is my current employer. They have three dogs of different breeds, one Maltese, one mongrel, and one Akita Inu. The family consists of five members; a couple and their three kids, who all have their own families now. I’ve been with them for 16 years, and I’m finishing my contract on September 2, 2026. Based on my experiences, I consider myself trustworthy, hardworking, flexible, and patient. Even though I’m a bit older, I believe I can still meet the standards of my next employer. Additionally, I tried attending cooking school with my third employer because of my love for cooking. I hope to find a new employer soon, and I promise to do my best to meet your expectations and I’m open to learning new things. Thank you very much.
