Eleanor

Hi, I’m Eleanor, and I’m 49 years old. I’ve raised my two sons, who are now 19 and 22, as a single mother. I worked in Hong Kong for almost six years as a domestic helper. With my first employer, I looked after two adults and three kids—a newborn, a 20-month-old, and a 6-year-old. My duties included household chores, washing clothes, cooking lunch, playing with the kids, and caring for the newborn. I changed diapers, bathed the baby, and even sang lullabies to help him sleep. I finished my two contracts with them because they decided to move to Australia. For my second employer, I took care of two adults and a 3-month-old baby. My responsibilities were similar: I did housework, washed clothes, and cared for the baby, including changing diapers and singing nursery rhymes to help him go to sleep. Unfortunately, my contract was terminated just two months before it ended because my employer found out I wouldn’t be renewing my contract. I'm patient, kind, and I genuinely love being around children. I’m flexible, a quick learner, independent, trustworthy, and easy to get along with.
