You know, when I was working in Saudi Arabia, it was a pretty interesting experience.
The family I worked for had a big house, which was nice, but my main job was housekeeping. Most of the time, I would just wait for them to tell me what they wanted me to cook. But honestly, we had such a great time together. In Arab culture, they really love their food, especially desserts. We had tea time daily, and it felt like we were constantly eating! I really miss that – even though they were a big family, they treated me like one of their own.
Now, living here in Hong Kong is a bit different. The family is smaller, and sometimes it feels more like I’m just a helper.
Currently, I work in Hong Kong doing marketing, laundry, housekeeping, taking care of a kid, and cooking. I’ve been doing this job for almost 4 years now, and I’ll finish my contract on November 16.
I can work without needing someone to supervise me all the time, and I'm always eager to learn new things.
