Hi ma'am/sir, you can just call me Elvie. I really love kids and I have three of my own back in the Philippines. I’ve worked with one family for 4 years, taking care of two adults and a newborn. I’m honest and flexible, and I’ve even learned how to cook some Chinese dishes. My main focus was on the baby while he was growing up, but I would do cleaning or cooking when he was asleep. If my employer came home early, they would help take care of him. For my second employer, I looked after a four-year-old girl. I taught her how to read, sing, and we often went to the park when we had time. I only worked there for about 8 months because there were two helpers in the house at the same time. Right now, I’ve been with my latest employer for 1 year, and it’s two adults and a ten-year-old child. I’m planning to break my contract and will be released once I find a new employer. My ma'am can be a bit of a perfectionist; she expects me to clean the windows every day, and she doesn’t allow any excuses. I work really hard, but I’m hoping for a more peaceful environment. I respect everything she says and I listen, but sometimes it feels like I’m just seen as a helper.
