Hi, I’m Gacel Joy. I’m 35 years old and married with two kids — a boy who's 11 and a girl who's 15. I’ve been working as a domestic helper here in Hong Kong for almost 2 years and 8 months with two different employers. Right now, I’ve been with my current employer for 2 months. I work for a Chinese family with two adults and two kids. My main duties are taking care of their boys, who are 6 and 8 years old. I usually wake up at 6:00 in the morning to cook their breakfast, help them get dressed, and then take them to school. After that, I come back home and take care of household chores like laundry, cleaning, and grocery shopping. In the afternoon around 3pm, I pick the children up from school and prepare dinner. Unfortunately, my employer is relocating out of Hong Kong, so they need to terminate my contract, and I’ll be released on November 15, 2026.
