Hi, I'm Gemaris, 37 years old. I'm a soft-spoken person, but I’m also hardworking and patient. I started my journey as a domestic helper in Hong Kong back in 2015. My first job was taking care of a 3-year-old girl, tutoring her, and also helping the grandparents with cooking for the family. My second employer was really nice; I took care of a 1-year-old girl and a newborn baby. They treated me like family, which made me very happy. I loved working with them, especially the kids. I was with them from 2017 until 2022, but then COVID hit, and my employer lost their job, so I had to leave. After spending a year back in the Philippines, I decided to try taking care of an elderly person. I looked after a grandma who had dementia, and she was very kind and loving. However, after a year, her daughter came from the mainland to Hong Kong, and things got a bit complicated.

Now, I'm working for a British-Chinese family with 2 adults and 2 kids, and I've been with them for 1 year and 7 months. My main responsibilities are cooking, going to the market, taking care of the youngest child, tutoring him, and taking him to places like the park, library, playdates, Ocean Park, and the beach.
