Hello! My name is Gertrude, and I’m from the Philippines. I’m 34 years old and a proud single mother of 5 kids. I have worked as a domestic helper and nanny for 4 years in Saudi Arabia and for 10 months in Hong Kong. In Saudi, I was part of a family of 5 with 2 adults, 2 kids, and a newborn. My main responsibilities included taking care of the two older kids, especially getting them ready for school and preparing their meals. I also cared for the newborn by changing diapers, giving baths, and feeding, along with doing household chores like ironing, washing, cooking, caring for the cat, washing the car, and cleaning. In Hong Kong, I worked for a Chinese family with 4 members—2 adults and 2 kids. My duties there involved picking up the younger child from school, doing household chores, cooking, washing the car, doing laundry, shopping for groceries, and taking care of animals. I've broken my contract, and my last working day is on January 22, 2026. I am looking for a new employer.
