Ilane

Dear Employer,

My name is Ilane. I’m 48 years old, single, and I don’t have any kids. I’m from the Philippines and I’ve been working as a domestic helper in Hong Kong for 17 years, starting back in 2009. Right now, I’ve been with my current employer for a year and four months. I take care of a couple in their 70s. My main duties include preparing their meals, organizing the household, and looking after a large, gentle dog. My current contract is terminated, and I will be released on September 30, 2026.

I’m an active person who enjoys hiking and volunteering in my spare time. I also like to read, dance, and play with children. I consider myself honest, loyal, and hardworking. I can work independently, follow instructions, and I’m handy around the house. I’m a bit of an introvert, and I’m looking for an employer who treats their domestic helper with empathy and respects our basic rights, especially on days off. I believe that a good working relationship is important, and I hope to find an employer who trusts their helper to manage their household while building a genuine connection.
