Hi! My name is Irene. I’m 33 years old and I’m from the Philippines. I have an 8-year-old daughter. I’ve worked as a domestic helper in Qatar for 2.5 years, and I’m currently in Hong Kong looking for a new employer. I learned a lot about working with people from different backgrounds, especially Westerners. I’ve found it really helpful to understand what employers need so I can provide the right support. Also, it’s important to know how each employer prefers things to be done, since everyone has their own standards for cleanliness and organisation. I used to work independently once I get clear instructions. I'm planning to break my current contract when I find a new employer.
